Diction Daydream- A Poem

Diction Daydream
 -Heather

The sun on my back,

The wind on my skin,

Waiting for words to sprout from within.

For unspoken beauty,

I scavenge my mind,

Praying it’s something of worth that I find.

I know that they’re in there,

These words for which I plea,

Yet the challenge of writing

Is setting them free.

  2. This is lovely!

A quick word of advice...as someone who also writes poetry and has been published in a poetry journal I would encourage you not to post poetry you want to submit for publication on the internet. If a poem is put on Facebook, a blog, or so on publishers and editors won't consider it for publication.

I know this from experience as well as having received the incredible advice from an experienced and well published poet.

  3. Amazing poem. I like the design; it connects to the theme of your blog. Thanks for following me back! I also love your profile avatar (not the movie) and your name. I need help: do you know anyone interested in writing, art, photography, crafts, recipes, drawing, etc? If you do, and they'd be willing to join blog for joy, answer me at jadefireeyes@gmail.com

    1. Wow, thanks so much! How often would you have to contribute to blog for Blog for Joy? Depending, I'll seriously consider it! I'll put it on my favorites too to maybe attract some more possible bloggers :)
